We are now hiring for a full-timeChief Data Officer to join our General Office Team!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Establish Data Infrastructure, Governance, Vision and Mindset

Providing a platform for data and drive growth while resolving the remaining technical and departmental friction points.
Establish information asset management best practice (data management standardization, utilization, and quality); Drive development and implementation of foundational data tools (integrated client data); Develop data vision to enable critical day-to-day operations, providing service & meeting strategic goals; Dynamically adjust vision and priorities as conditions or agency needs evolve; Lead data governance systems/processes; Define and promote data policies and standards for data integrity, security, retention, etc.

Define infrastructure and hardware system needs.

Drive selection of software tools and hardware including, owning decisions around software strategy and management
Cultivate Data Culture, Architecture, and Management

Identify and resolve legacy problems to update compliance of and access to organization’s data assets.
Define, drive, and promote importance of data and day to day use in decision making; Own internal/external communication around data initiatives; Define how data is organized , where it lives, and how to access; Own analysis process for organization programs and outputs.

Guide Program Evaluation, Quality, and Research

Guide organization’s Quality team on design and execution of evaluation strategies, social research, and program outcome management.
Define a vision for the organization’s overall research and evaluation agenda and our ability to produce relevant, compelling information on organizations services.

Drive efforts to measure social impact on communities we serve and to recommend course of action to ensure that impact is sustainable and scalable; Drive and manage the design , implementation and oversight of research and evaluation processes; Guide Quality Team on qualitative evaluation of our programmatic impact through a variety of methods including surveys, focus groups, and interviews
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Engineering, Social Service or related field required.

MBA preferred.

– 10 years of experience in a senior-level data management role.

Prior experience managing and supervising staff required.

Previous experience in the areas of Program Evaluation, Information Management Systems required.

Strong analytical, qualitative & quantitative skills Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse teams Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and ability to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Demonstrated self-awareness and mission driven Ability to operate both hands-on and tactical, as well as at a strategic level.

Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of strong decision-making skills.

Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills.  Mobility to travel throughout metropolitan Chicago required.

Qualifications
Education

Required

Masters or better in Computer Science or related field.

Experience

Required

Previous experience in the areas of Program Evaluation, Information Management Systems

Prior experience managing and supervising staff

8-10 years: Experience in a senior-level data management role
