nnThe National Law Review publishes articles and regulatory alerts from the nation’s premier law firms, law schools, government agencies, and authored by our own journalists.

We are one of the highest volume legal websites in the United States and we are looking for an additional publication specialist who will format, classify and upload articles, videos and events, relating to business legal news.

We publish 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so we have flexibility in scheduling but require a minimum of a three-day-a-week commitment and availability during core business hours.nn nn nn nn n nn nn Duties and Responsibilities: nn nn * Upload, format for SEO, and classify legal news articles, videos and events and create new author profiles as needed.nn nn * Develop and send daily subject area email newsletters.nn nn * Maintain and update contacts in a CRM and bulk email system.nn nn * Manage the National Law Review’s multiple social media networks.nn nn * Work on website SEO enhancement projects.

nn nn * Work with other team members to further develop and maintain the website, add additional features and products, and further refine our processes.nn nn * Other duties as may be assigned.nn nn nn nn n nn nn Requirements: nn nn * Familiarity with law firms, professional services companies, and business law concepts.nn nn * We work with very large law firms so you must have an incredible eye for detail and be a consummate professional.nn nn * We’re a news website
– so excellent computer skills are non-negotiable.nn nn * Need demonstrable proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive / Cloud, Outlook, photo editing software, and bulk emailing and CRM systems.

You MUST have strong computer skills coming in the door and have used them recently.nn nn * Previous use of online publishing platforms, ideally Drupal and /or WordPress, social media scheduling systems such as Hootsuite or SEMrush, bulk emailing systems such as Robly or Hubspot and CRM systems like HubSpot or Salesforce.nn nn * Internet research skills, on-page and off-page SEO & strong attention to detail.nn nn * High-speed internet access.nn nn nn nn n nn nn The Kind of People We are Looking For: nn nn * Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, resourcefulness, and a positive, can-do attitude.nn nn * Proactive communication skills, both written and oral with both team members and clients.nn nn * Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects and work well under pressure, adapt quickly to changing requests, work independently, have pride in your work, and get along with others.nn nn * We’re a new service, we’re quite adept at predicting workflow, but flexibility during the workday is needed, as we need to publish and rearrange priorities to catch news cycles and serve our clients.nn nn * Ownership of your personal responsibilities and a willingness to learn and grow.nn nn nn nn n nn nn Other Things to Consider: nn nn * Most members work remotely, but normally (pre-COVID) all initial training was done in person in Chicago or in Denver and generally you need to attend monthly in-person networking events (Legal Marketing Association) or team meetings.nn nn * This is a part-time position 3-5 days a week which can grow to full-time after an initial period if mutually agreeable, with core business hours sometime between 7:00 am to 7:30 pm CST with some flexibility.

Team members generally work in shifts either half-day or full-day.

The number of weekly hours ranges from 20
– 40 depending on your availability.nn nn * You will be job sharing with other team members and supporting a website manager.nn nn * This is not a writing position, but there may be opportunities in the future to author content and/or advance to a position of more responsibility.
