– Assisting the VP of Due Diligence in leading the due diligence process and coordinating seamlessly with acquisitions, asset management, capital markets, in-house counsel, operations, and other teams (including outside counsel and third-party consultants) to identify and resolve or quantify issues impacting investment returnsnn nn
– Managing third-party consultants and vendors, including engineers, environmental consultants, market research consultants, lease abstractors, and property tax consultants, and ensuring the appropriate scope of work is specified for third-party review on each transactionnn nn
– Managing due diligence materials, site visits, and all GCP requests with potential sellersnn nn
– Reviewing and analyzing various legal and lease documentationnn nn
– Analyzing financial and operational results of target assets through review of accounting, financial, and operational records, including P& L reports, rent rolls, leases, aged receivable ledgers, bank statements, payroll, tax bills, utility bills, expenses, service contracts, etc.nn nn
– Examining historical operating result trends and communicating material fluctuations and non-recurring itemsnn nn
– Identifying and investigating contingent liabilities, off-balance sheet items, and related-party transactionsnn n n Job Requirements: n nnREQUIREMENTS;nn nn
– Bachelor’s or master’s degree in real estate, accounting, or financenn nn
– A minimum of three to five years of real estate industry experience in an investment firm or operating company environment, including prior underwriting, due diligence, or audit experience, or similar; experience in senior housing, manufactured housing, multi-family residential, or parking sectors a plusnn nn
– Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Office as well as project management softwarenn nn
